- It is important to start by trusting your teachers. Do not treat them with mistrust out of the gate.
- Expect results. If the child is not showing progress, it does not mean they cannot learn. It means that the IEP needs to be altered.
- Stand up to professionals if they tell you that your child cannot learn. Their knowledge is not absolute.
