In this PBS News Hour report, First Place Transition Academy in Phoenix, Arizona, is highlighted for their program which is training young adults with autism to live and work independently. The individuals in the program have their own apartment in the same building, which is shared with retirees unrelated to autism. The program also helps set the individuals up with jobs to help build their career skills.
