In this video, the gluten-free casein-free diet which many use with children with autism, and some claim alleviates certain symptoms of autism, is examined and put to the test. The diet stems from the opioid-excess theory which claims that improper digestion of these foods create an excess of opioid-peptides, which lead to neurological damage causing autism. Several studies which analyzed the effect of a gluten-free casein-free diet in children with autism were highlighted, which showed an improvement in the children’s communication skills after switching to the diet.
