The Basic Do’s and Don’ts of IEP meetings – produced by Julia Clark

In this video, two alternative versions of a mock IEP are shown in order to illustrate effective and ineffective strategies to use during an IEP Meeting. The focus of the video is on the administration side, but the tips are useful for parents as well. The most important thing in an IEP meeting is to be prepared; gather relevant information and materials, get the support necessary to facilitate communication with the school, and make sure to know your rights in an IEP meeting.
