Brett is part of the 20% of autistic adults who are employed, highlighting the need for continued support for autistic individuals past their childhood years and the fact that autism is a lifelong condition. Support groups like the “nightlife group” to which Brett belongs offer opportunities for young adults on the spectrum to make friends and work on social skills.
